Hard Lines Coffee

Hard Lines make really really really good coffee! Based in Cardiff, Wales – they are driven by three things – coffee, people and creativity. With a devotion to sourcing, roasting and delivering great coffees from talented producers all over the world, they prioritise long-lasting relationships with partners through the supply chain.

Their friendly and fun approach is present in everything they do, from product to identity and with a love for showcasing, sharing knowledge and challenging themselves to do things differently. Whether it’s from their cafe, roastery, market or online store, they go the extra mile to produce coffee that makes you smile.


The Brief

For this project we were tasked with creating an ecommerce experience which elevated the brand's engaging and creative identity, and gave the Hard Lines team a flexible digital presence which they could shape and grow with, whilst utilising the Shopify platform to maximise conversions and add value for both customer and merchant alike.


Our Approach

The existing brand identity gave us a strong and clear direction for the visual aesthetic of the new website. After establishing the foundations of the design, our focus turned to more engaging storefront elements and micro-details, to convey the playful character of the brand through animation and interaction.


The Solution

After a careful design iteration process, considered development, and detailed quality assurance – the final result is a fun and attention-grabbing ecommerce experience, which strongly conveys both brand and product. Enabling Hard Lines a strong platform with which to grow further in the long-term.
